Jacob Humes and his parents spent five months shopping for his first car. In February 2007, his parents told him they found something. "When my parents told me they found a car, I didn't think I would be getting a Mustang," Jacob says. "We went and looked at it, but I didn't think they were serious about it until my brother drove it into the yard. It was supposed to be a surprise, but since it was a manual, he was the only one who knew how to drive it, besides me."
Jacob used his new ride for daily transportation to school and work. Plans for the car included the obligatory teen upgrades of a new stereo system and some nicer wheels. Plans after graduation included an engine swap to a small-block, either a 302- or 351-based engine.
Unfortunately, Jacob's plans were cut short when the car was totaled in an accident. He still mourns its loss (haven't we all) and looks forward to the time when he'll be on the road again, hopefully in another Mustang.
