On top, we installed a set of 1969-1970 302 heads, which offer better breathing characteristics than the original 289 head. Valley Head Service cleaned them up, installed bronze valve guides and nickel-hardened seats, did some mild port work, and fit the castings with pushrod guide plates and screw-in studs.
